Washington Ho’s entertainment retail ambitions took a bite out of Nan & Company Properties’ commercial team.
Ho’s White House Global Properties brought on Victoria Luo’s team, which consists of Rami King, Erika De Leon and Anmol Dalwadi, the Houston Business Journal reported. The team’s addition is a major milestone for the Houston-based brokerage, which Ho co-founded in December 2023.
The Luo Group was hired to boost the firm’s commercial division, particularly in retail and restaurant leasing, areas where Luo and her team have substantial experience.
Luo’s focus on the Chinese market, in Houston and internationally, aligns with White House’s broader strategy to tap into global markets and increase its clientele.
“I needed someone that was a leader, that understands Chinese culture, that also has bought and sold properties, invested in properties, but is also a broker,” Ho said.
The team will support several of Ho’s ongoing development projects, including an 8-acre “eater-tainment” project in Katy. The 200,000-square-foot development is White-House’s first endeavor in the Houston area.
The project will start construction later this year and include restaurants, entertainment venues and a 120-key hotel. It is part of a broader expansion for the brokerage, which is also working on a restaurant row project along Highway 249 in northwest Houston. Ho says Luo and her team will play a central role in the endeavor.
Ho has teamed up with Huynh Investment Group for a $100 million investment initiative focused on developing properties in Chinatowns across Houston, Arlington and additional cities outside Texas.
