StreetLights Residential is off and running with its next multifamily project.

The Dallas-based firm, led by CEO Doug Chestnut, has started construction on the 20-story Galatyn, an apartment high-rise at McKinney and Monticello avenues, just east of Highland Park, the Dallas Morning News reported

The complex will contain 56 luxury units, spanning an average of  2,700 square feet. That’s roughly triple the size of most apartments in Dallas-Fort Worth.

StreetLights demolished several commercial buildings to make way for the resi tower, which is scheduled to open in early 2025. The site is a block away from StreetLights’ McKenzie high-rise, a 183-unit complex on McKinney Avenue.

StreetLights continues to establish itself as a major player in DFW real estate. Just north of downtown Dallas, the firm is building the Oliver, a 351-unit, 19-story apartment building that’s part of its $2.5 billion Central megadevelopment.

In June, StreetLights received a $73 million loan to help finance the Hamilton, a 26-story, 310-unit building in the Deep Ellum district. The company is working on a handful of developments outside the city as well, including a $78 million project in Arlington and a $3 billion, 112-acre project in Frisco called the Mix.
