Landmark Companies to add $38M multifamily near Cowtown

The developers are adding 288 Class A apartments in Burleson

Florida-based developer Landmark Companies is building a high-end style apartment complex that will add to its Texas portfolio in Burleson, just south of Fort Worth.

Landmark at Rendon will sit at the intersection of FM 1187 North and Wildcat Way N in the Fort Worth suburb, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. It will include 288 units throughout multiple three-story buildings and cost an estimated $38 million. The project will span about 428,464 square feet.

Amenities weren’t listed in the filing, but other Class A Landmark projects in Texas have included pools, fitness centers and lounge areas. According to the company’s website, its investment strategy targets niche markets for new development, with a focus on multifamily assets that require less risk, more upside and trackable cash flow.

Burleson, the suburban hometown of Kelly Clarkson, has grown in population from an estimated 36,000 in 2010 to more than 51,000 in 2022, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The city is approximately 16 miles from Downtown Fort Worth and 25 miles from Arlington.

An estimated 17,000 acres lies undeveloped across the city, according to Burleson’s Economic Development Department. Developers have been attracted to land along Interstate 35 W, State Highway 174 and the newly opened Chisholm Trail Parkway, the website states.
