Fresh off an appearance in the college football playoff, University of Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is looking for another big win — this time off the field.

Sarkisian and his wife, Loreal, have put their Austin mansion on the market, asking $5.8 million. The home at 3300 Park Hills Drive has six bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms on just under half an acre. Their ask for the 5,300-square-foot home approaches $1,100 per square foot.

The property is in Rollingwood, one of Austin’s toniest neighborhoods. It is just west of Zilker Park and a short walk from Lady Bird Lake. The home was built in 2014 and renovated in 2021.

It features angular white facades with large windows and stone accents. The kitchen flows into the living room, while outside, a 500-square-foot, covered sitting area opens onto a pool and hot tub. There is also a fire pit and putting green.

Drew and Patricia Tate of Coldwell Banker have the listing. Earlier this month, Coldwell Banker acquired their boutique brokerage, Tate Property Group. The property is Coldwell Banker’s most expensive listing in the city of Austin, according to a news release.

Earlier this month, Sarkisian signed a four-year contract extension that is expected to make him one of the highest-paid college coaches in the country.

Austin’s residential market has been in a slump, with the median sale price falling 10 percent to $450,000 last year, according to the Austin Board of Realtors. Closings were down 9 percent, and average days on market more than doubled to 70. All told, sales dollar volume fell 17 percent to $17.4 billion.

The luxury market has been somewhat less impaired, with interest rate hikes hitting lower-priced homebuyers harder. Still, even the higher end of the market has struggled some, as the city’s tech sector has weathered layoffs.
