Movers: Nan & Co Hires Douglas Elliman Agent in Houston

Nan and Company Properties hired former Douglas Elliman agent Michael Raak. Nan and Co. will get Raak’s $4.25 million listing at 41 Tiel Way, as well. Raak was with Compass from 2020 to 2022 before almost three years at Douglas Elliman. He is also vice president of business development for Lightyear Insurance Group.

Quenton Rockwell was named president of the Commercial Real Estate Network Gulf Coast. Previously The Houston Property Exchange, CREN Gulf Coast is a nonprofit commercial real estate association based in Houston. Rockwell, who serves on the boards of the Houston Association of Realtors and Texas Association of Realtors, co-founded Coldwell Banker Commercial’s Rockwell Commercial Group in 2014 with his wife, Kat.

Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation hired John Brickson as managing director. He will be responsible for placing debt and equity for clients in Dallas. Brickson was last principal at McKinney Realty Capital, the Dallas firm he founded in 2022. He will join Marcus & Millichap’s DFW multifamily investment sales team, the Fluellen-Hoover Multifamily Group.

Dallas-based architecture and design firm Corgan hired Ian Zapata as director of design. Zapata was previously design director at Gensler, starting in 2008. Corgan is known for designing club lounges at LaGuardia and San Francisco International airport and provided speculative designs for the first office building at The Links near PGA of America headquarters in Frisco.

Cousins Properties elected Susan Givens to its board of directors. Givens was formerly a senior managing director of Blackstone’s real estate group. Cousins Properties, an Atlanta-based office REIT, purchased the mortgage for Saint Ann Court, an Uptown Dallas office building, for $138 million in October.

ICYMI: Chicago-based real estate firm Cresa acquired the Houston brokerage Axis Tenant Advisors, adding its founder, Scot Ison, to the company’s tenant representation team.
