Trammell Crow Company promoted Adam Nims to chief investment officer and Billy Hart to chief strategy and underwriting officer. Nims was president of the Dallas-based developer’s Eastern U.S. region before replacing former CIO Thomas Lee, who became the firm’s global head of capital markets. Hart was hired from Trammell Crow Company’s parent, CBRE, where he was group president of corporate development for the Dallas-based firm for over three years in Los Angeles.

Granite Properties, a commercial real estate investment and development firm based in Dallas, appointed its Senior Managing Director and Market Leader of Dallas Paul Bennett to serve the same role in Houston. He takes Granite Executive Managing Director Scott Martin’s leadership position in Houston; Martin is retiring after 26 years. Bennett has been at Granite since 2000. 

Austin-based real estate investor and developer The Amherst Group appointed Chris Avallone as chief financial officer, effective May 1; current CFO Dallas Lucas plans to retire. 

Avallone joined Amherst in 2018 as its head of merchant banking before five years as a vice president of Goldman Sachs, while Lucas has served as Amherst’s CFO since 2020 following executive roles at various firms, including president and CEO of the Dallas-based TIER real estate investment trust. Lucas will transition to an advisory role as vice chairman at Amherst, a news release said.

Stream Realty Partners, based in Dallas, promoted Matt Asvestas to managing director of office leasing in Houston. He joined Stream Realty in 2016 as an analyst and has served as a vice president for the last three years.

In case you missed it: Betsy Cameron was named Ebby Halliday Companiespresident as former president and CEO Carolyn Rosson is set to retire after 45 years at the Dallas real estate firm. 

Cameron joined the firm in 2019 as sales leader of Ebby’s Little White House office and was promoted to senior vice president of operations in September 2023, the same time Rosson became president and CEO, after Rosson was named president in 2022. Rosson will continue serving as chairman at the company and will assist in the leadership transition.
