Elliman Hires Josh Ellis, Chris Hipps to Lead Cushman in Texas

Douglas Elliman’s Dallas office landed a big name in luxury condo sales, Josh Ellis.

Ellis was president of Long Cove Realty and CEO of Native International Realty. He previously oversaw sales for the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton and the Tower Residences at the Ritz-Carlton in Dallas.

He has done over $1.5 billion in sales over a 20-year career, according to a news release from Douglas Elliman. He has worked in sales and development, and in residential and commercial real estate, in Texas, Hawaii, Arizona and the British Virgin Islands, according to the release.

May Vlaming joined JLL’s project and development services team as senior vice president and market lead in Austin. She joins the firm after four years at commercial general contractor MAPP LLC, where she was vice president and business unit leader.

Mary Anne McMahon joined @properties Christie’s International Real Estate in Austin. After working as an account manager at Dell Technologies, McMahon became a property investor in 2001. She later became a licensed real estate agent and founded Posh Properties Group. She joins @properties Christie’s from RE/MAX Austin Skyline. The @properties Christie’s affiliate in Austin launched in September and has added nearly 50 agents, according to a news release.

Larry Lockhart joined corporate real estate advisory firm Mohr Partners’ Dallas office as associate director of project and development services. Lockhart has worked for architecture and construction firms since 2004, according to LinkedIn, and he joins Mohr from Reliable Commercial Construction.

Chris Hipps will join Cushman & Wakefield’s Dallas office as managing principal for Texas, starting Jan. 2, the Dallas Business Journal reported. Hipps is leaving CBRE, where he was senior managing director of advisory and transaction services. He spent about 25 years at Canada-based Cadillac Fairview and its successors Prentiss Properties Trust and Brandywine Realty Trust, the outlet said. Doug Jones, a former U.S. Army Infantry officer and Army Ranger, was Chicago-based Cushman’s managing principal for Texas until he left in August.
