Movers: S2 Capital Adds Execs, Stream’s Matt Dornak Makes Partner

A Texas multifamily player with a reported $10 billion in transaction volume added a couple of key employees recently. Dallas-based S2 Capital hired Mark Halford as vice president, special situations. He will focus on “opportunistic and distressed acquisitions through the firm’s commingled fund vehicles,” according to a news release. Hanford previously worked for Lone Star Funds for about 10 years.

S2 also hired Connor Austin as vice president of capital formation and investor relations. Based in Los Angeles, he will “build investor relationships with institutions and wealth management firms in the Western U.S.” Austin previously worked at iCapital Network for four years.

Stream Realty Partners named Matt Dornak a partner. Dornak joined Stream as an analyst in 2011 and is managing director of the Dallas-Fort Worth office. “Dornak has helped increase the Dallas-Fort Worth industrial portfolio by more than 30 million square feet. He is credited with building a successful South Dallas industrial leasing team from scratch and establishing relationships with countless new clients,” a news release states.

Gary Gray joined Dallas-based Highland Homes as chief information officer. Gray previously worked as general manager for digital and ecommerce for Corsicana Mattress Company.

Method Architecture, a Houston-based firm that has designed several local breweries, has acquired David Boggess Architects, the Houston Chronicle reported. The firm has a 9,000-square-foot office at 2920 Riverby Road in central Houston.

Dallas-Fort Worth real estate agent Belinda Reyna landed a streaming show, Local Profile reported. Reyna will co-host “Negotiators Luxe,” which takes viewers “behind the scenes of local real estate and uncovers hidden gems.” It airs on the Reveel Streaming Network. Reyna works for Ebby Halliday Real Estate in Richardson.

Colorado-based Flourish Real Estate Network has expanded into Austin, RIS Media reported. Local agent Amber Lambrecht is the company’s representative in the capital city.

Rainier Companies, a Dallas-based commercial real estate investment firm, recently launched a venture to develop retail and mixed-use, the Dallas Business Journal reported. Rainier Development Company is led by president David Neher, who previously worked for Lincoln Property Company.
