Safe to say, this Silicon Valley listing is a bit meta.

A Los Altos home at 1743 Westbrook Avenue that Facebook founders Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz and Sean Parker rented in 2004 hit the market for the first time, asking $5.3 million, the New York Post reported.

Judy Fusco, the owner, told the Post that Zuckerberg didn’t so much as enter the house before writing a $10,000 check to cover the first month’s rent and the deposit.

Fusco said Parker repeatedly asked her to invest in the company or to pay the rent in Facebook stock. Fusco rebuffed the requests, missing out on a chance to get in on the ground floor of a company, now known as Meta, estimated to be worth $570 billion.

Parker moved out months later after developing an allergy to a jasmine flower. Zuckerberg and Moskovitz followed after a one-year stay.

The 3,000-square-foot home includes six bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The living room has bay windows and a balcony, the kitchen has a center island and breakfast nook and there’s also an entertainment room. It also has a large back yard with a gazebo.

The listing belongs to Crystal Souza and Hannah Isaka of Live Play Real Estate.

Last year, the home was available to rent for $10,000 a month, twice what Zuckerberg paid.

Zuckerberg has since moved on to bigger digs. In December, Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, paid $17 million for 110 acres of agricultural land on Kauai, bringing their Hawaii property holdings to more than 1,400 acres. The couple has said they wouldn’t redevelop their property aside from building another home, which would be valued at about $35 million and include almost 36,000 square feet of living area.
