  • Teambridge, a workforce management software startup, has leased 18,000 square feet of ground-floor space at 612 Howard Street in San Francisco for its headquarters.
  • The six-story building, constructed in 1907 and renovated a couple of years ago, features original wood beams.
  • Teambridge selected the "as is" space for its layout, high ceilings, natural light and plug-and-play nature.

A workforce management software startup founded by former Uber executives has leased 18,000 square feet for its headquarters in South of Market.

Teambridge took the entire ground floor of the six-story office building at 612 Howard Street, according to property owner Millennium Play.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Newmark’s Charlie Withers represented Millennium in the deal.

Teambridge joins CloudTruck, a virtual trucking carrier network, in the 1907 building, which retains its original redwood beams and hardwood floors, said Sabrina Horn, one of the co-owners of 612 Howard.

“We looked at many spaces and ultimately decided on 612 Howard for its unique layout, high ceilings and convenient access to public transportation,” Tito Goldstein, co-founder of Teambridge, said in a statement. “The solid wood beams break up the space into functional sections that feel huge even in the middle of the city.”

“The space was ‘as is’ when Teambridge moved in,” Horn said. “They loved the plug-and-play nature of the space, along with its layout and natural light from both the Howard and Natoma Street sides.”

The building was renovated a couple of years ago with “a complete overhaul of the entire seismic infrastructure, the elevators, the lobby and all bathrooms and kitchens on each floor,” Horn said.

Goldstein and fellow former Uber executive Arjun Vora founded Teambridge in 2020 under a slightly different name as a human resources software to manage hourly staff. The pair raised $41.5 million as of September, according to TechCrunch.

The South of Market area is facing significant challenges, with high office vacancy rates. However, there are signs of recovery, particularly with increased leasing activity from tech companies, especially in the artificial intelligence sector, which has absorbed substantial office space in recent years.
