The CEO of Flex has bought a 4,400-square-foot home in Monte Sereno for $9.8 million.
Revathi Advaithi, who sits on the board of Uber, bought the gated single-story home and guesthouse at 18311 Lexington Drive, near the foothills southwest of San Jose, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reported. The sellers were Juergen and Meifang Buchsteiner.
Advaithi and her husband, Jeevan Mulgund, a partner at venture capital firm Ignova Ventures, paid $1.2 million less than the asking price of $11 million.
George Montanari of Compass and Bill Gorman of Coldwell Banker had the listing. C.T. Harris of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno represented the buyers. The home last traded in 2001 for $4.2 million.
The five-bedroom, six-bathroom house, built in 2013 on 1.5 acres, has an office, study, an open kitchen and expansive living room with polished concrete radiant heat floors and retractable glass walls that open onto a heated loggia, according to the listing.
The master bedroom has retractable glass on two sides that open onto a terrace deck. There’s also a wine cellar and a three-car garage.
Behind the T-shaped house, there’s a two-bedroom guesthouse with a kitchen, plus a one-car garage.
Flex, a global electronics manufacturer that makes the Mac Pro, was based in San Jose until 2023, when it relocated to Austin, Texas.
Advaithi joined the firm in 2019 from power management company Eaton, where she served as president and COO of its electrical sector business, according to the Business Journal.
