Last month’s list of the largest retail leases in NYC included a lot of the usual suspects: clothing retailers, restaurants, etc. There were a few standout names on the list, however, including a particular luxury car brand (even if they didn’t quite get the checkered flag for biggest lease of all).

1) GU | 568 Broadway | Soho — 25,000 sf
The clothing retailer and sister brand to Uniqlo inked a new lease in the Soho building, taking over Forever 21’s old space. Alan Schmerzler of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, while Jared Epstein and Jake Bank of Aurora Capital Associates represented the landlord inhouse.
2) Avra Estiatorio | 390 Ninth Avenue | Penn Plaza — 20,000 sf
The Greek eatery inked a new 20-year lease in the Farley Building. The new restaurant will serve as the Avra Group’s fourth New York City restaurant. Gary Trock of CBRE represented the tenant, while Edward Hogan of Vornado Realty Trust represented the landlord in house.
3) Arc’teryx | 600 Fifth Avenue | Plaza District — 12,689 sf
The outdoor gear retailer inked a new lease in the Plaza District building, taking over the former space of another Canadian brand, Aritzia. Ariel Schuster of Newmark represented the tenant. The building’s landlord is Tishman Speyer.
4) Butterfield Market | 29-17 40th Avenue | Long Island City — 10,055 sf
The market inked a new lease in Long Island City, marking the brand’s first foray into Queens. Charles Rapuano of Winick Realty Group represented the tenant, while Thomas Galo, also of Winick, represented the landlords, Davis Companies, SB Development and Hazelton Capital.
5) ENT and Allergy Associates | 35-30 Francis Lewis Boulevard | Flushing — 10,000 sf
The ENT inked an expansion in the Flushing building, seriously boosting its footprint from 1,800 square feet. Jonathan Serko of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, while Miles Mahony of Ripco Real Estate represented the landlord, Simone Development Companies.
6) 60/60 Optical | 1623 Flatbush Avenue | East Flatbush — 7,548 sf
The optical store signed a new 10-year lease in the East Flatbush building. Dorel Melloul and Jack Hanlon of Kassin Sabbagh Realty represented the tenant, while Josh Augenbaum of Augenbaum Realty represented the landlord, 1625 Flatbush LLC.
7) Solaris Health | 35-30 Francis Lewis Boulevard | Flushing — 6,000 sf
The urology health platform inked a new lease, making for the Flushing building’s second appearance on this list. Wayne Steinberg of Highline Real Estate Advisors represented the tenant, while Jordan Baruch and Matthew Kucker of Colliers represented the landlord, Simone Development Companies.
8) Deal Hunters | 3024 Church Avenue | East Flatbush — 5,000 sf
The tenant signed a new 10-year lease in the East Flatbush building. Josh Augenbaum of Augenbaum Realty represented both the tenant and the landlord, Sion Chams.
9) City Roots Hospitality | 37 West 19th Street | Flatiron — 4,300 sf
The restaurant group signed a new 10-year lease for a Mexican restaurant in the Flatiron building. Noam Aziz of Meridian Retail Leasing represented the tenant, while Elliot Warren of Kaufman Organization represented the landlord, Evenhar Development.
10) Ferrari | 92 Prince Street | Soho — 3,700 sf
The luxury car company signed a new lease in the Soho building. The building’s landlord is Marx Realty.
