Two of Douglas Elliman’s top teams are combining forces.

Glenn Davis, a co-founder of the Tuinstra Davis Team, is partnering with Noble Black to form a new team called Noble Black & Partners. Davis is joined by 10 members of his previous team, bringing the new cohort’s total to 29 agents.

Black said blending their two teams would allow them each to expand their business without “cannibalizing each other.”

The merger will boost Black’s team’s presence in the new development space, as Davis specializes in selling boutique projects in downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Black is among the top resale brokers in the city. His team placed 33rd in The Real Deal’s 2022 ranking with $84 million in sales across 39 deals. They were also Elliman’s top-selling team the last four months of 2023.

The team has also recently closed some notable deals, including a $31 million penthouse at Extell’s 157 West 57th Street.

Among Black’s active listings on Streeteasy are an eight-bedroom house on Riverside Drive asking $55 million and a duplex co-op in Lenox Hill asking $28 million.

After 10 years together, Davis parted ways with his former business partner, Justin Tuinstra, in October, months before he started talks to join Black’s team. The Tuinstra Davis Team placed 25th in TRD’s ranking of the city’s top new development brokers in 2022 with $128 million in sales across 64 deals.

Tuinstra is staying at Elliman, but said he’s now working solo out of the firm’s Tribeca office.

Davis and Tuinstra cited conflicting future goals for their split and said they remain on good terms. The two will continue to work together to sell new development projects like KD Sagamore Capital’s 199 Chrystie Street and Vault Development’s 66 Clinton Street, both on the Lower East Side.

Davis will serve as one of the team’s senior partners alongside Jamie Gagliano, who led operations for Elliman’s Holly Parker Team until March 2023. She joined Black as the team’s chief operating officer six months ago.

Correction: An earlier version of this story said Jamie Gagliano joined the Noble Black Team nine months ago.
