Brooklyn luxury market saw 15 contracts signed last week

Contracts were worth about $44M overall

There were 15 contracts signed in Brooklyn’s luxury market last week for a total of about $44 million.

The properties included eight townhouses and seven condominiums, and they went for an average price of about $2.9 million, according to the latest report from Stribling & Associates. The firm classifies luxury properties as all homes priced at $2 million or higher.

The market was down from the previous week, when it saw 22 contracts signed for about $69.9 million.

The priciest deal last week was for a Brooklyn Heights townhouse at 135 Joralemon Street, which went for slightly less than $6 million. The five-bedroom home spans 3,850 square feet and went under contract at its asking price after just 21 days on the market, according to the report.

The second most expensive deal was for a townhouse at 48 2nd Place in Carroll Gardens, which went for $4.5 million. The three-bedroom home spans 3,840 square feet and also went under contract at its asking price.

Other sales last week included a townhouse at 36 Sterling Place in Park Slope for $4 million and a condo at 62 North 3rd Street in Williamsburg for about $3.2 million. – Eddie Small
