Brooklyn’s luxury market saw 22 contracts close above $2M last week

Contracts were worth about $70M overall

There were 22 contracts signed in Brooklyn’s luxury market last week for a total of about $69.9 million.

The properties included 13 townhouses, seven condominiums and two co-ops, and they went for an average price of about $3.3 million, according to the latest report from Stribling & Associates. The firm classifies luxury properties as all homes priced at $2 million or higher.

The market was up from the previous week, when it saw 17 contracts signed for about $50.3 million.

The priciest deal last week was for a Park Slope townhouse at 296 Sixth Avenue, which went for about $5.3 million. The seven-bedroom house spans about 4,900 square feet and went under contract at its asking price, according to the report.

The second most expensive deal was for a condo in the Pierhouse complex at 130 Furman Street, which went for slightly less than $5 million. The three-bedroom unit spans about 4,200 square feet and went under contract 28 percent below its asking price of about $7 million.

Other sales last week included a townhouse in Cobble Hill for about $4.5 million and a co-op at 30 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights for $2.45 million. – Eddie Small
