Once emblazoned in capital letters on apartment buildings across the city, President Trump’s name is rapidly disappearing from the New York landscape.

Residents of 120 Riverside Boulevard are the latest condo owners to demand that Trump’s name be removed. They voted by a 55 percent majority to remove the “TRUMP PLACE” lettering on their building’s facade, the Washington Post reported.

This comes only months after residents at nearby 200 Riverside Boulevard made the same decision. They faced legal warnings from the Trump Organization, but a judge ruled in May that the licensing agreement did not require residents to keep the name in perpetuity.

Both Riverside Boulevard buildings are part of former rail yard Trump co-developed in the 1990s.

Since Trump was elected in 2016, the owners/boards of five New York City buildings have removed Trump’s name. The removal of the name will not cost the Trump Organization any revenue; the firm does not manage the building or derive any licensing revenue. [Washington Post] – Decca Muldowney
