The penthouse at the former home of designer Gloria Vanderbilt will soon hit the market for up to $30 million.

The penthouse spans 5,704 square feet with four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and about 1,522 square feet of outdoor space, according to the New York Post. Lauren Muss of Douglas Elliman is the listing broker for the property.

Robert B. Lynd built the house in 1891, and Vanderbilt lived there from 1924-1925 before moving to Paris. Her father Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt owned the property and used it as his home when he was not in Newport, Rhode Island.

The property is now divided up into three condos: a 5,300-square-foot maisonette triplex, a 5,000-square-foot duplex and a 5,700-square-foot triplex penthouse. The duplex is listed for $16 million.

The property is different and separate from the Vanderbilt Mansion at 16 East 69th Street, which sold to billionaire Tianqiao Chen earlier this year for $39 million. [NYP] – Eddie Small
