A rendering of the Solar Carve at 40 10th Avenue

Block 646: 40 10th Avenue (b/w West 13th and West 14th) aka the Solar Carve, which is being developed by William Gottlieb Real Estate and Aurora Capital Associates, inked the priciest lease of 2017 with Hyundai/Genesis taking the ground floor, roughly 40,000 square feet, for $11 million.

A rendering of 61 Ninth Avenue

Block 712: 61 Ninth Avenue, which is being developed by Aurora Capital Associates, the Carlyle Group and Vornado Realty Trust and designed by Rafael Viñoly, the architect behind 432 Park, will feature a massive Starbucks outpost, the largest in the world scoring 20,000 square feet upon completion.

A rendering of the Eleventh/XI, or 76 11th Avenue

Block 689: HFZ Capital Group acquired the Eleventh/XI, also known as 76 11th Avenue, for $870 million in 2015, one of the priciest land deals in the city’s history at $1,100 per square foot. In March, HFZ released the renderings of its megaproject, which shows two asymmetrical bronze-and-travertine towers connected by a skybridge.

Renderings of the Metal Shutter Houses

Block 690: The Metal Shutter Houses, also known as 524 West 19th Street, were designed by Pritzker Prize-winning Japanese starchitect, Shigeru Ban. The Prtizker Prize is an annual award to honor architects whose built work demonstrates a combination of those qualities of talent, vision and commitment.

Block 691: A woman’s prison shuttered along the High Line in 2013. 550 West 20th Street, formerly the Bayview Correctional Facility, a medium-security women’s prison located in the middle of a metropolis. Developers bid on who would get to spearhead the remodel, and in 2016, Deborah Berke Partners was given the responsibility.
