The development arm of Starrett Corp. is making plans for a new development in Coney Island.

The company filed permits for a 159,900-square foot mixed-use building with 199 residential units at 2760 West 33rd Street, near the corner of Neptune Avenue and West 33rd Street. Plans call for a 14-story building that will be 149 feet in height. Starrett is looking to include amenities such as a tenant recreation room, bicycle storage and a parking garage with 110 spaces.

The structure will likely be built alongside two buildings on the lot. The properties, which have a combined square footage of 366,000-square feet, contain 334 apartments and one commercial unit.

The project builds on Starrett’s New York City housing portfolio. The company plans to build a 62-story, 724-foot tower at 259 Clinton Street in the Lower East Side. The property is part of a three-building assemblage- the other two are being developed by JDS Development, CIM Group and L+M Development– that will contain 2,775 apartments. Out of that total, 694 will permanently affordable.

Aufgang Architects is the architect of record the project. Starrett did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
