After coming in second last year, Douglas Elliman’s Holly Parker’s team took the top spot for raking in the most commissions from sales in 2017.
Parker’s team beat out teams led by Josh Rubin, Noble Black and Sabrina Saltiel at Elliman’s annual “Ellies” award ceremony on Wednesday. Parker also took home the top award for individual agents by gross commission income for new development sales. Rubin was named the top agent by resale commissions, and his team won the top spot for most transactions last year.
Parker’s team ranked second in The Real Deal‘s latest ranking of the top new development agents by sales volume. The team closed $507.3 million worth of sales in 2016.
For the second year in a row, agent Lauren Muss raked in the most commissions last year of any individual broker at the firm. Muss, a top performing broker at the Corcoran Group for 14 years, jumped to Elliman in 2014. Jennifer Kalish and Shari Scharfer-Rollins tied in second for the top individual agent award, and Michael Kafka came in third.
Those scratching their heads at the absence of “Million Dollar Listing New York” star Fredrik Eklund and his partner John Gomes may have missed Eklund’s Instagram vow to take himself out of the competition. He told followers last year that he would no longer participate in any rankings because his team was “competing against ourselves anyway.” Perennial top ranking agent Raphael De Niro also took his name out of the running.
According to the firm, Douglas Elliman closed $26.1 billion worth of sales nationwide in 2017, a 6 percent increase from last year’s $24.6 billion. The brokerage is rapidly expanding, most recently announcing the opening of a new office in West Hollywood.
