UPDATED: Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 2:48 p.m. TF Cornerstone filed permits today with the city’s Department of Buildings for a 46-story, 394-unit building at 52-41 Center Boulevard. It’s the second of two towers on the parcel. In October, TF Cornerstone filed plans to construct a separate 56-story building holding 800 affordable housing units on the site.

The newly-proposed building, part of the developer’s Hunters Point South complex, will span just under 383,000 square feet, split between 374,000 square feet of residential space and about 8,000 square feet of community space.

TF Cornerstone, led by Fred and Tom Elghanayan, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The company bought 38-21 12th Street in Long Island City earlier this year for $25.5 million and is also planning a large mixed-use development in the neighborhood at 5-40 44th Road and 4-99 44th Road that is expected to include 1,000 apartments and 100,000 square feet of light manufacturing space.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the developer downscaled plans for a tower; in fact, it filed separate plans for a smaller tower on the same parcel.
