The New York Liquidation Bureau is relocating a large portion of its current offices—although the state agency is not moving very far.

The bureau has inked a 43,000-square-foot lease for 180 Maiden Lane in the Financial District, near its current offices at 110 William Street, according to the Commercial Observer. The deal comprises all of the 14th floor and part of the 15th at the MHP Real Estate Services and Clarion Partners building, and asking rent was in the high $50s per square foot.

The agency, which takes over damaged or insolvent insurance firms for the state, occupies about 120,000 square feet at 110 William Street but will cut this down by more than 74,000 square feet by the end of the year.

The New York City Department of Investigation, the television production company True Entertainment and the law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan are also tenants at 180 Maiden Lane, while companies including Behavox and CFG Merchant Solutions have also recently signed leases there.
