Officials say at least four people were injured and one person was initially trapped underneath the debris when scaffolding near the intersection of Prince Street and Broadway collapsed Sunday morning in high winds.
The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. and first-responders say injuries are not life threatening, according to the New York Post.
