Sean Ludwick will be sentenced this week after recently pleading guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident as part of plea deal.

In 2015, the developer, who had been drinking, crashed his car in the Hamptons. He left the scene of the accident, leaving his injured passenger, Douglas Elliman broker Paul Hansen, on the side of the road to die.

Under the plea deal, he will serve three to nine years on the first count, one to three years on the second count, and one year on the third count, although the sentence will run concurrently, New York State Supreme Court Justice Fernando Camacho told 27East. Ludwick is expected to be sentenced to between three and nine years in a state prison.

In January 2016, Ludwick was ordered to stay behind bars until his trial after he allegedly asked an off-duty, undercover FBI agent in Puerto Rico about buying a boat that could take him to South America for $380,000 in cash. [27East]Christopher Cameron
