ML Fashion Group, a clothing retail chain launched by TV host Marcus Lemonis, is set to open a new store on the Upper East Side. ML signed a five-year lease for a 1,500-square-foot space at 1275 Third Avenue, the company confirmed.
Property records indicate that Luellen Goldstein’s Jay Realty Corp. owns the five-story mixed-use property between 73rd and 74th streets.
Lemonis, CEO of RV seller Camping World, is best known for hosting the business-consulting reality TV show “The Profit” on CNBC.
The store, slated to open in the fall, will have a new retail concept called Marcus. His retail chain also has a store called Final Sale at 1456 Third Avenue.
Metropolitan Property Group’s Claude Kolb represented the tenant and Landmark Resources’ Jeff Clarke represented the landlord. ML and Clarke could not immediately be reached. The asking rent was $250 per square foot, according to Kolb. The retail space was formerly home to Scoop, the clothing chain that last year announced it would close its remaining stores.
The Real Deal recently broke down the spread of retail vacancies on the Upper East Side.
