Compass is expanding its global headquarters, signing a lease for an extra 25,000 square feet in Union Square.
The deal will see the venture capital-backed residential brokerage taking an additional two floors at Aby Rosen’s 90 Fifth Avenue until the year 2025, the Commercial Observer reported. It brings the company’s total square footage at the building to 115,000 square feet across the third through 11th floors. The asking rent on the vacant floors was $86 per square foot, the landlord told the publication. Architecture firm Vocon is designing the space, and the firm plans to move in at the beginning of fall.
Late last month, Compass inked a 10-year lease for 8,700 square feet at the Laureate at 2150 Broadway. In total, the venture capital-backed firm has three office in Manhattan, including one at 390 Park Avenue in Midtown. It also has two Brooklyn offices — one in Park Slope and in another in Williamsburg.
