Certes Partners and United Management paid $26.5 million for a six-story parking garage next door to the notorious Camden Resident Hotel site slated for a new 10-story rental building, according to property records filed with the city Friday.

The Boca Raton, Fla.-based Feig family trust has owned the 33,130-square-foot property at 214-218 West 95th Street for more than 45 years, records show. Investor Lawrence West most recently controlled the family’s entity, Uptown Realty Associates LLC, at the time of the sale. Hertz previously operated the garage, located between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.

Last month, Certes and United filed a permit application to construct an 18-unit, 26,000-square-foot apartment building on an adjacent site at 206-212 West 95th Street. The Camden Resident Hotel, which the 24th Precinct on the Upper West Side once ranked as one of the area’s most dangerous buildings, stopped operating as a single-room-occupancy facility in 2013.

The two sites offer a combined 85,000 buildable square feet, according to Certes. The developer hired CetraRuddy to evaluate the garage property’s potential.

Certes and United bought the hotel for $15 million last year, as previously reported.
