A two-story Cobble Hill townhouse that sold for $6.3 million was the priciest residential home sale in Brooklyn recorded in May, according to PropertyShark.
The 4,700-square-foot carriage house at 172 Pacific Street was built in the 1840s as a firehouse. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The next two priciest deals were for suburban homes in Gravesend – a two-story, 2,780-square-foot house at 1925 East 3rd Street ($4.5 million) and a two-story, 2,300-square-foot house at 1933 East 5th Street ($4.4 million).
A three-story, 3,840-square-foot Park Slope townhouse at 593 3rd Street traded hands for $3.8 million. Rounding the top five are a pair of combined condominium units at the Edge’s north tower in Williamsburg. Units 66 and PH1D are located in the 15-story building at 34 North 7th Street. They sold for a total of $3.7 million.
QUEENS
Over in Queens, a 2.5-story Forest Hills Gardens house was the borough’s priciest residential home sale recorded in May, at $1.9 million, PropertyShark data show.
The 2,750-square-foot property at 52 Tennis Place dates back to the early 1900s, records show.
The second-priciest deal was for an 1,800-square-foot, 10th-floor condominium unit at the L Haus at 11-02 49th Avenue in Hunters Point. The apartment closed for $1.8 million.
151-11 19th Avenue in Whitestone
Back in Forest Hills, a two-story suburban home at 108-22 70th Avenue went for $1.6 million. A two-story Whitestone house at 151-11 19th Avenue constructed just last year was sold for $1.58 million.
In the fifth spot was a $1.56 million deal for a 2.5-story Bayside home at 215-12 29th Avenue spanning 2,420 square feet.
