Under pressure from some constituents to renounce his connection to major political donor Glenwood Management, Governor Andrew Cuomo claimed he never met with the company about rent-regulation issues. But a review of his schedule suggests otherwise.

Cuomo’s public schedules show that he met with Glenwood executives three times in 2011 to discuss rent regulations, according to Capital New York.

The website asked the Governor on Wednesday whether Glenwood had ever brought up the issue of rent control with his administration, to which he responded, “No, never.”

Leonard Litwin’s Glenwood Management is suspected to be “Developer-1” in criminal complaints against former Assembly speaker Sheldon Silver and recently arrested Senate leader Dean Skelos, who have been accused of allowing campaign contributions from the developer to influence their actions.

“The Governor did not remember off the top of his head three meetings from five years ago, two of which also included many other industry advocates,” said Rich Azzopardi, a spokesman for Cuomo. [Capital NY] — Tess Hofmann
