Victor Homes and Lend Lease have filed plans for a 52-story condo tower at 281 Fifth Avenue at the corner of East 30th Street. Rafael Vinoly Architects, the designer of 432 Park Avenue, is the architect of record.
The 705-foot-tall development in NoMad will feature 141 units split across more than 209,000 square feet of residential space. The development includes 7,900 square feet of retail space on the first two floors and amenities including a lounge, fitness center, library and spa.
There will be two to four units per floor with the exception of full-floor units on the eighth, 49th and 50th stories, according to New York YIMBY.
The Department of Buildings approved the demolition of the existing three-story building at the site, which Victor Homes acquired for $99 million last year.
The developer reportedly shopped the project to potential EB-5 investors before construction firm Lend Lease bought a stake in the development last month. [NY YIMBY] – Rey Mashayekhi
