Michael Shvo and Erez Itzhaki have remained tight-lipped about their project at 100 Varick Street in Soho, but thanks to the project’s first rendering, we can see that it will involve glass, glass and more glass.
A new teaser site, spotted by New York YIMBY, dubs the project Soho Tower, according to Curbed. Shvo, Itzhaki and their equity partners, Halpern Real Estate Ventures, Bizzi & Partners and Aronov Development bought the 20,000-square-foot assemblage site at 100 Varick Street for $130 million last January. YIMBY also spotted the first rendering on Itzhaki Acquisitions’ website.
In June, demolition permits were filed for three existing low-rise structures on the site.
Shvo and partners closed on a $240 million development site at 125 Greenwich Street in the Financial District last summer, where they are planning a soaring condo tower. [NY YIMBY] — Tess Hofmann
