Hillary Clinton, the Democratic front-runner for the presidential nomination, is considering setting up her 2016 presidential campaign headquarters in Brooklyn.

Clinton is eyeing the borough after ruling out White Plains, N.Y., a middle-class upstate town with dozens of office parks, insiders told the Hill. Staging a campaign from Brooklyn could potentially help attract young voters and fend off Republican attacks calling Clinton “old news.”

The borough is also one of the most ethnically diverse areas of the United States, and stands in stark contrast to the site of Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, which was headquartered in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Ballston, Va.

Clinton, the former Secretary of State, is yet to officially throw her hat in the ring for the presidential race. She has a personal office in Midtown, separate from her Midtown office at the Clinton Foundation. Her husband, former president Bill Clinton, has a personal office in Harlem.
