Top 5 home sales in Brooklyn, Queens in November

Detached Midwood homes and condos in LIC and Flushing dominate

A three-story Manhattan Beach mansion that sold for $7.8 million was the largest residential home sale in Brooklyn recorded in November, according to PropertyShark.

The 11,300-square-foot property at 2 Dover Street features three bedrooms and was built in 2004.

A three-story, 3,500-square-foot Brooklyn Heights townhouse at 67 Cranberry Street – built in 1840 and last altered in 2007 – was next on the list, selling for $6.3 million. Douglas Elliman’s Jennifer Schwartz served as the broker on the deal. A two-story Park Slope townhouse at 475 1st Street that sold for $3.3 million came in third.

The fourth and fifth priciest Brooklyn sales were both in Midwood. One was a two-story home at 1074 East 8th Street ($2.9 million), while the other was a two-and-a-half-story property at 1078 East 9th Street ($2.6 million). Both detached homes have garages.

In Queens — which Lonely Planet just dubbed the best tourist location in the U.S. — a two-and-a-half-story Elmhurst frame house at 90-12 Whitney Avenue was the borough’s priciest residential sale recorded in November at $2.5 million, according to PropertyShark.

Next was a condominium unit – a penthouse at the View at East Coast, a 184-unit Long Island property that regularly appears on this list. The three-bedroom pad at 46-30 Center Boulevard sold for $2.45 million.

Then, a condo at the F&T Group’s One Fulton Square project at 39-16 Prince Street in Flushing closed for nearly $2 million. The building is currently under construction. A two-story brick house at 45-18 11th Street in Hunter’s Point went for $1.7 million.

In the fifth Queens spot for the month, a detached house at 57 Continental Avenue in Forest Hills changed hands for $1.5 million, data show.
