Looking for an adrenaline rush? The new 2.6 million-square-foot skyscraper at 30 Hudson Yards will be able to offer just that, in the form of a yet-to-be revealed attraction on its outdoor observation deck.
While Related’s representatives declined to comment, the New York Post speculated that the attraction could be similar to the glass capsule located 350 feet above Royal Caribbean cruise ship Quantum of the Seas. The newspaper indicated that the attraction will likely be a slanting glass walkway on the tower’s 1,000-foot-high observation deck.
“You can choose to pay for it separately and crap your pants,” Related Hudson Yards President Jay Cross reportedly said at a Young Mens’/Womens’ Real Estate luncheon in November, the newspaper reported. [NYP, 1st] — Claire Moses
