It’s Bargain Season On Fifth Avenue.
The asking price of a full-floor unit at the Sherry Netherland co-op recently dropped from $95 to $85 million.
Gilbert Haroche, founder of retail travel and cruise company Liberty Travel, is looking to sell his seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom unit on the 18th floor of the building, according to the New York Daily News.
The unit has been on the market for two years and Haroche has hired new brokers to help sell the palatial unit. Serena Boardman of Sotheby’s International Realty and Brown Harris Stevens’ John Burger have the listing.
The unit comes with multiple dressing rooms, offices and a terrace that overlooks Central Park. The next resident will be able to use the Sherry Netherland hotel’s amenities, including room service.
If Haroche gets the new asking price, the unit would be the most expensive co-op ever sold in Manhattan. A co-op at 740 Park Avenue, where the founder of hedge fund Millennium Management, Israel Englander, recently bought a duplex for $71.3 million.
