Steven Roth’s Vornado Realty Trust is in contract to lease the Prince Lumber site in the Meatpacking District.
The site , which is zoned for manufacturing, is located on the corner of West 15th Street and Ninth Avenue, just north of the Apple Store.
Vornado, together with Bobby Cayre’s Aurora Capital Associates, inked a long-term lease at 61 Ninth Avenue. The partnership plans to build a 12-story office and retail building on the site.
Vornado, a publicly traded real estate investment trust, is one of the city’s largest property owners.
