Excavation is now fully underway at both Extell‘s 217 West 57th Street and Vornado’s 220 Central Park South.
The towers, which are located across the street from one another, are bringing an impressive amount of construction and blasting to the area beloved by billionaires, according to New York Yimby.

New documents filed with the Department of Buildings show that the smaller portion of 220 Central Park South will be located on Central Park South, while the ‘tower’ portion will be located on 58th Street.
220 Central Park South will eventually stand 950 feet tall and is scheduled for completion in 2016. Extell’s Nordstrom Tower is set to rise 1,423 feet and is scheduled to open in 2017. [NY Yimby] – Christopher Cameorn
