Meadow Partners’ 211,000-square-foot Midtown East office building is undergoing a $15 million makeover.
The private equity firm plans to open up the layouts with built-to-suit and pre-built spaces. Such a renovation is designed to satisfy the influx of tech and media tenants in the building, located at 211 East 43rd Street. The new space will allow for six outdoor terraces, as well as provide a new lobby and upgraded elevators. Recently signed tenants include Caliber Associates, the UN missions of Mauritius and Costa Rica, and AWS Construction. Newmark Grubb Knight Frank brokers David Emden and William Cohen have served as exclusive leasing agents.
The terrace opportunities “exist, but they might not have a door yet, which might not be a bad thing this winter,” Emden told the New York Post.
In December, Meadow acquired a 130-unit rental building at 110 Green Street in Greenpoint for $72 million, as The Real Deal reported. [NYP, 2nd item] — Mark Maurer
