Robert Durst, son of New York real estate mogul Seymour Durst and brother of commercial developer Douglas Durst, was arrested for violating the terms of the restraining order Douglas has against him, the New York Post reported.

Robert allegedly approached Douglas’ home at 413 West 43rd Street on June 2 and stared into a surveillance camera. Robert had been ordered to stay away from his estranged brother in April 2012.

At Robert’s arraignment, a prosecutor said that Robert had also stared into the security cameras of other relatives who live nearby. A judge issued 13 orders of protection telling him to stay away from them.

Robert was released on Friday after bondsman Ira Judelson posted $5,000 bail.

This is not the first time the Durst sibling has had run-ins with the law. Robert has been suspected of killing his wife, Kathleen McCormack, after her disappearance in 1982. However, he was never charged and her body was never found.

Robert served three years in prison in Texas for the 2001 killing and dismemberment of his elderly neighbor, Morris Black. He was acquitted of murder, but convicted for the dismemberment and gun possession. [NYP] – James Comtois
