Luxury retailer Hermes has inked a deal for a storefront space at the newly rebranded Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan, formerly known as the World Financial Center, the New York Post reported. The store appears to be one of the largest inside the complex at 6,354 square feet, floor plans show, though no one would confirm the measurement with the Post.

Asking rents at the property span $350 to $450 per square foot, Ed Hogan, national director of retail leasing for Brookfield Office Properties, told the Post.

Laura Pomerantz of her namesake firm represented the tenant; the McDevitt Company represented Brookfield. Pomerantz declined to discuss the specifics of the deal with the Post.

Brookfield nabbed $1 billion in financing for Brookfield Place earlier this month, as previously reported.

And in February, Brookfield announced that it had signed deals with several eateries, including grilled cheese shop Little Muenster, Mexican eatery Dos Toros and the heralded West Coast gourmet burger joint Umami Burger. [NYP]Zachary Kussin
