The noted broker team of Carrie Chiang and Janet Wang took home the Corcoran Group’s award for the Manhattan broker team of the year at the firm’s annual awards ceremony, held earlier this month at hip Meatpacking restaurant Ajna. The pair produced sales in excess of $400 million in 2012, the company said. In 2011, that award went to Leighton Candler, who nabbed the Eastside salesperson of the year award this year.

Meanwhile, Wendy Sarasohn was named the Manhattan salesperson of the year. Dennis Hughes nabbed the award for Manhattan rental person of the year, while the Rising Star award went to Louis Buckworth.

An award for deal of the year was split between the Noble Black team, the Deborah Grubman team and Bonnie Pfiefer Evans. Last year, Black was responsible for the $54 million sale of Denise Rich’s duplex co-op penthouse at 785 Fifth Avenue and Grubman sold Vornado Chairman Steve Roth’s $6.8 million penthouse at 345 West 13th Street.

In Brooklyn, Leslie Marshall and Jim Cornell won team of the year, while Deborah Rieders was awarded salesperson of the year, and Vicki Negron won rental person of the year.
