George Soros’ daughter lists Greenwich Village home for $29.5M

Philanthropist Andrea Soros Colombel has hosted the Clintons

A Greenwich Village townhouse owned by the daughter of billionaire investor and major Democratic donor George Soros has hit the market.

The Greek revival-style home at 10 West 10th Street came online today asking $29.5 million, according to Streeteasy.com. It is listed by Paul Kolbusz and Sara Gelbard of the Corcoran Group. Soros’ daughter Andrea Soros Colombel bought the seven-bedroom property in 2006 for $11.5 million, public records show.

The 26-foot-wide home features multiple outdoor spaces and has a fully furnished cellar, according to the listing. It also has a fitness room and a state-of-the-art security system.

Columbel appears to own several properties in the neighborhood. Earlier this year, a three-story residential building that she owns at 243 West 4th Street partially collapsed.

Colombel heads up the Trace Foundation, an organization she founded in 1993 to promote cultural continuity and sustainable development in China. She is the second child of Soros’ first marriage to Annaliese Witschak and shares her father’s enthusiasm for former president Bill Clinton. Bill and Hillary Clinton reportedly stayed in her Rhinebeck, N.Y. home in 2010 while they were upstate for their daughter Chelsea’s wedding.

Soros recently gave $1 million to Priorities USA Action, a super PAC supporting President Barack Obama.

Neither Gelbard nor Kolbusz were immediately available for comment.
