Steel exec buys at 15 CPW

A trust in the name of Leroy Schecter, chairman of Kearny, N.J.-based American Strip Steel, bought a condo at 15 Central Park West for $10.4 million. In 2006, Schecter bought a seven-bedroom, 16,228-square-foot estate in Miami Beach’s Indian Creek Village for $22.5 million, well below the $27.5 million asking price. Other residents of the elite community, which counts just 55 residents, include billionaire investor Carl Icahn and basketball coach Rick Pitino. TRD
