Twin brothers Oren and Alon Alexander are facing felony charges of sexual battery, brought by Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle.

Authorities outlined three alleged instances of sexual assault in arrest warrants issued last week for the brothers; the assaults occurred in 2016, 2017 and 2020. Oren was included in all three, Alon in only one, while a third defendant was implicated in an alleged group assault.

Prosecutors allege that Ohad Fisherman helped facilitate the brothers’ alleged rape of a woman in Miami Beach in 2016. He was not included in the federal indictment alleging the Alexanders ran a sex trafficking scheme.

Fisherman’s picture appeared next to those for the Alexanders when prosecutors in Miami presented to the press hours after their arrests. At that point, he had not yet been detained and was considered “at large,” Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said during a press conference.

But Fisherman’s attorney, Jeffrey Sloman, told a judge that his client learned of the charge upon landing in Japan for his honeymoon and is due to return this week.

“Mr. Fisherman vehemently denies those allegations and is making plans to return to South Florida to address the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office’s charges,” Sloman said last week.

Fisherman is slated to appear in court on Wednesday, Dec. 18. The judge will reissue his arrest warrant if he doesn’t appear.

Fisherman, who the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office previously referred to as a cousin of the Alexanders, previously worked as an agent with the brothers’ brokerage, Official Partners. He now leads his own firm called the Fisherman Group.

Fisherman’s background

Fisherman moved to New York from Israel in 2012 to work in real estate, the Times of Israel reported in 2016. A year later, he launched his hummus brand called Hummus Joonam, and he became known as the “Hummus Hunk.”

After a decade of working in New York, he moved to South Florida and began representing buyers at Alex Sapir’s Arte Surfside condo project, in deals totaling nearly $90 million. He’s also worked on presales for Baccarat Residences, a Related Group luxury condo project planned in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, and Indian Creek Residences, the latter of which Official previously had the sales contract for. Jonathan Landau’s Landau Properties is developing that boutique condo project.

Fisherman married freelance writer Jordan Royt about a year ago and they appear to have celebrated their wedding this summer, postponing their honeymoon until earlier this month.

Fisherman was working with Official until at least this summer, after the rape allegations against the Alexander brothers were widely reported. He represented the buyer in the $18.5 million sale of a unit at the Four Seasons Residences at the Surf Club in Surfside in July. Financier Bippy Siegal and his wife, Jaqueline, sold the condo.

Fisherman’s past clients have included Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

Florida licensing records show Fisherman moved his license to his own company in October.

An alleged assault

In 2016, an alleged victim showed up to one of the brothers’ apartments in Miami Beach after Alon Alexander invited her to what she thought was a barbecue with other people. Alon gave her a tour of the apartment into a bedroom where two women who appeared to be maids left, giving “her a look of concern on their way out,” according to an arrest warrant. Oren and Fisherman, introduced as a cousin of the Alexanders, entered and locked the door behind them.

Fisherman forced her onto her back, pinning her arms, before the victim heard Alon and Oren “arguing about who was going to rape her first.”

The victim said she begged them not to. As Oren was raping her, she said she pretended to enjoy it “because she had heard that if you were ever in the situation of being raped, the aggressor typically does not like the victim to enjoy the moment and it could lead them to stop their attack.”

Oren “stormed out” but returned to watch Alon rape her. Oren told her she wasn’t leaving until she had sex with Fisherman, at which point she was crying hysterically, the arrest warrant states. Fisherman held her down as Alon and Oren sexually battered her.

As she showered, Oren entered the room. “She felt he was there to make sure she was in fact washing up and cleaning herself to rid her body of any possible evidence,” the warrant alleges.

Oren had Fisherman sit in the room as the victim dressed herself to confirm she had an Uber to pick her up “and to possibly not allow her to make any outgoing phone calls,” according to the warrant. Alon told her not to tell anyone about what took place.
