AutoNation CEO Mike Manley bought an oceanfront mansion in Hillsboro Beach for $14.5 million.
Records show Manley bought the house at 955 Hillsboro Mile from Suellen Brown. Joseph Beltrand with Coldwell Banker Realty brought the buyer, and Heather Lefka with Florida Luxurious Properties had the listing.
Manley has been CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based AutoNation since 2021, according to published reports. He is a longtime auto industry executive, and was previously CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
Brown’s late husband, Robert Brown, was the founder of CBS Personnel Services, a firm he grew to be one of the largest temp agencies in the U.S. It merged with Cincinnati-based Staffmark in 2007, according to published reports. He died in 2011.
The Browns bought the Hillsboro Beach mansion for $4.1 million in 2001, according to property records. It was built in 1964 on 0.4 acres and spans 8,900 square feet. The mansion includes five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a pool and a dock. The property has 100 feet of beach frontage and 100 feet of waterfront along the Intracoastal Waterway.
It hit the market for $15.8 million in February, Zillow shows.
Records show other pricey deals for nearby properties in Hillsboro Beach, a luxury enclave in northern Broward County. Last month, Frederick K.W. Day, the founder of bike brand SRAM, bought the oceanfront mansion at 967 Hillsboro Mile for $15.7 million, according to property records. Also last month, a 0.7-acre oceanfront vacant lot with approved plans for a mansion sold for $14.9 million, records show. Last year, pharma executive Raymond Mirra Jr. sold his oceanfront mansion in Hillsboro Beach for $18.5 million.
