Douglas Elliman tapped Drew Backoff as its vice president of marketing for new development, according to a press release. As part of his role, Backoff will lead strategic marketing campaigns for the Delmore, Damac’s ultra-luxury condo project planned for the site of the deadly Champlain Towers collapse in Surfside. Backoff joins Elliman from Compass, where he was a senior leader with the brokerage’s development marketing group for seven years, the release shows.
In addition to Backoff, Elliman brought in Farid Moussallem to work on sales for the Delmore earlier this month. Damac launched sales for the 12-story, 37-unit condo project at 8777 Collins Avenue in January, with prices starting at $15 million.
In other Elliman news, agent David Cooke is moving to the Palm Beach office, according to a press release. Cooke is relocating from Richmond, Virginia to West Palm Beach, but will continue to lead his team, the Heirloom Group, in Richmond.
Elliman agent Alex Vichinsky left the Eklund | Gomes Team to join Bespoke Real Estate’s Miami office, a press release shows. Vichinsky was with Elliman for more than a year, and previously had hung his license with the Agency in Los Angeles for six years, according to LinkedIn. He has closed $450 million in career sales, the release shows.
Another Elliman agent, Ellis Bachman, jumped to Brown Harris Stevens, according to a release. Bachman will be based in BHS offices in Miami and New York City. He started at Elliman in 2018 and has closed $500 million in career sales, the release shows.
Top Compass agent Nancy Batchelor is bringing in Miky Bonazzoli to her namesake team in Miami Beach, a press release shows. Bonazzoli has been with Compass in New York City since 2019, and will be working in both New York and Miami. She has closed more than $360 million in career sales, and worked on sales for 75 Wall Street Condominium Residences, the release shows.
In Sunrise, agents Chad Bishop and Kimberly Knausz joined the sales team for One Metropica, the 28-story, 263-unit condo tower at 2000 Metropica Way, a press release shows. Bishop and Knausz are both agents with One Sotheby’s International Realty in Fort Lauderdale.
