Pura Vida Miami | Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale

Pura Vida Miami, the café known for its health-conscious menu that includes smoothies and açaí bowls, opened new outposts in Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale

The restaurant leased 2,200 square feet at 1601 Collins Avenue, according to the tenant’s news release. The building is the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, which is owned by New York-based Loews Corporation.

Pura Vida Miami also leased 3,200 square feet at 1350 Southeast 17th Street at the South Harbor Plaza in Fort Lauderdale, according to the release. Real estate investors Steven Hudson and Charles Ladd Jr., along with their co-investors Las Olas Capital Advisors and Foreward Management bought the 91,600-square-foot retail and office plaza that sits on an 8.2-acre site in 2021 for $40.5 million

The restaurant chain, which first opened in 2012 and is led by owners Omer and Jennifer Horev, has been steadily expanding over the past 13 years. Its other Miami Beach outposts are at 1940 Alton Road, 1504 Bay Drive, 959 West Avenue, 110 Washington Avenue and 16 Fisher Island Drive, which is on exclusive Fisher Island, according to Pura Vida Miami’s website. In Fort Lauderdale, the restaurant also is at 221 Southwest First Avenue and 2364 North Federal Highway.

WPP | Coral Gables

A Big 4 advertising agency moved its Brickell office to Coral Gables and downsized.

London-based WPP, which also is a technology and public relations company, leased about 25,000 square feet at WeWork in Coral Gables, according to CBRE’s Cameron Tallon, who represents the Brickell landlord of the building that WPP left. The tenant moved last month.

WPP had leased about 73,000 square feet at the two-building Brickell Key Centre office campus, formerly called Courvoisier Centre, at 501 and 601 Brickell Key Drive in Miami, Tallon said. WPP wanted to sign a shorter lease than the five-plus-year leases the center sought following a $50 million renovation completed late last year.

WeWork lists Coral Gables outposts at 2222 Ponce de Leon Boulevard and 255 Giralda Avenue, which are part of the same office complex developed by Heidi Eckes-Chantre, Kim Tabet and Christopher Brown. Records show they still own the buildings.

Brickell Key Centre, which spans about  346,000 square feet, is about 85 percent occupied, according to the property’s website and Tallon, who said new tenants have nearly backfilled the space WPP vacated.

Fernando Masaveu Herrero, a Spanish billionaire who leads his family’s conglomerate Corporación Masaveu, owns the building, according to records.

WPP, which is led by CEO Mark Read, with Michael Houston leading U.S. operations, is publicly traded on the New York and London stock exchanges.

Gladstone Media | Wynwood | Miami

A Canadian multimedia production company opened its first Miami office in Wynwood

Gladstone Media leased 2,000 square feet at 571 Northwest 28th Street, according to the tenant’s spokesperson.

The Toronto-based firm, which also is an advertising agency and design studio, opened the office this month, just as its business also expanded to South Florida. Gladstone is the marketing studio for the nearly 55,000-square-foot planned estate at 1960 South Ocean Boulevard in Manalapan. Town Mayor Stewart Satter, a spec developer who made his fortune in the consumer testing industry, put the 4-acre property that spans the ocean to the Intracoastal Waterway on the market last week for $285 million. If it sells at this price, it would mark a record single-family home deal in Florida.

Gladstone also is working to market Moore Development Group’s 22-story, 38-unit Amalfi condo tower 2317 North Ocean Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.

Gladstone, founded in 2005 by Jeremy Gladstone, also is on the lookout for an up to 10,000-square-foot South Florida office for its technology division that includes its architectural visualization arm and augmented reality and proprietary real estate software, according to the spokesperson.

Records show the Wynwood building is owned by an entity managed by Nancy Karp, wife of South Florida architect Kobi Karp.
