In the latest roundup of South Florida real estate hiring news, firms made leadership picks ahead of the holidays.
In Palm Beach Gardens, Brian Maloney returned to Ram Realty Advisors after nearly five years as vice president of real estate at Whole Foods where he oversaw new store development, according to a press release. Before Whole Foods, Maloney was a managing director with Ram Realty for five years. He returns to the firm as a principal, and will serve on its investment and management committees, the release shows.
David Pulley jumped from Douglas Elliman to the Agency’s Miami office, according to a press release. Pulley was previously part of Elliman’s sports and entertainment division, where he was an agent for nearly a decade. Pulley joined Elliman in 2015.
He’s the latest agent to depart from Elliman in South Florida. In Palm Beach, Thor Brown left Elliman for Compass in August.
In Miami Lakes, BankUnited named Mario Facella as senior vice president and commercial real estate relationship manager, a press release shows. Facella joins the firm from TD Bank, where he was a senior lender for 10 years, according to the release. In his new role, Facella will oversee BankUnited’s commercial real estate business in Miami-Dade County.
Baar, Switzerland-based private equity firm Partners Group acquired Empira Group, according to a press release. Empira Group is a Swiss real estate investment firm with U.S. headquarters in Miami. Empira manages $10 billion in assets globally, and has projects planned in Dallas. It will continue to operate under the Empira brand, the release shows.
Premier Estate Properties, a Boca Raton-headquartered residential brokerage led by Carmen D’Angelo and brothers Joe and Gerry Liguori, is launching a condo advisory service, according to a press release. Caryn Nadler will lead the firm’s Nadler Real Estate Advisory Service, focusing on luxury existing- and pre-construction condos in Palm Beach County, the release shows.
