Music producer Matthew Resnicoff sold his mansion in Jupiter’s Bears Club for $15.3 million, just over a year after buying it for $14.5 million.

The deal comes as South Florida’s real estate market is heating up, entering a busy season jump-started by the election of Donald Trump, which agents say has fueled a surge in market activity.

Resnicoff sold the estate at 162 Bears Club Drive to Dana Falk, according to the buyer’s agents, Melanie Barre and Sheila Crosby of One Sotheby’s International Realty. Johnny DelPrete of Douglas Elliman had the listing.

Falk is the widow of Ralph N. Falk II, whose father co-founded Deerfield, Illinois-based medical supplies giant Baxter. Ralph Falk II spent decades as an executive with the company, which is one of the largest suppliers of IV fluids in the U.S. Hurricane Helene flooded Baxter’s Marion, North Carolina factory, contributing to a nationwide shortage of IV drips since September, NPR reported. Falk II inherited a reported $70 million when his mother died in 1990, according to Deseret News. He died in 2009.

Resnicoff bought the Bears Club estate for $14.5 million in October of last year from Planet Fitness co-founder Michael Grondahl and his wife, Lisa Grondahl. Built in 2010 on 1.1 acres, the 9,900-square-foot mansion has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, one half-bathroom, a pool and a putting green, according to records and the listing. It hit the market asking $17.5 million in September, Redfin shows.

Barre said Falk, who is moving from California, knew what she wanted with this deal.

“She was hell-bent on the Bears Club,” she said.

The club was founded by golf great Jack Nicklaus, who also designed the golf course, and it has since become a magnet for golf fanatics, professionals and amateurs alike. South Florida’s real estate boom has created backups at in-demand golf clubs, where waitlists for memberships are years long.

“There still is a wait for a membership. For an outside resident it’s five years,” Barre said. “It’s still not instant, but it’s going to be faster if you’re [a resident].”

Falk’s neighbors will include golfer Rory McIlroy and basketball icon  Michael Jordan, who bought a second Bears Club mansion in April for $16.5 million. In October, investor and metals executive Daniel Rifkin bought a mansion for $17.7 million

In recent months, a series of Bears Club listings have hit the market at record prices. Ed Brown, former CEO of tequila giant Patrón Spirits Company, listed his 2.4-acre compound at 152 Bears Club Drive for $58 million in October. He bought the land from Serena Williams for $6 million in 2018. Last month, Dr. Armin Oskouei listed the estate at 136 Bears Club Drive for $32.5 million, after he bought it last year for $19.8 million. Another mansion at 118 Bears Club Drive is listed for $42 million.

Barre said she expects prices in the community to keep “trending up,” as the season continues.
