Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes team is taking over sales and marketing of One Park Tower, a luxury condo building under construction at SoLé Mia, a master-planned community in North Miami, The Real Deal has learned.

The mega team, led by Fredrik Eklund and John Gomes, will take over from Edgardo Defortuna’s Fortune Development Sales later this month, Eklund confirmed. Fortune began selling the project in the spring of 2022.

Aventura-based Turnberry, led by CEO Jackie Soffer, is the developer. The 33-story, 292-unit tower, planned for 2411 Laguna Circle, is about 70 percent presold, a spokesperson for Turnberry said. The remaining units are priced from $975,000 to $8 million for a penthouse. Eklund-Gomes will focus on the penthouse collection, which includes 21 three-story units.

In April, Turnberry secured a $172 million construction loan from Bank OZK for the luxury condo building. It’s expected to be completed by the summer of 2026, the Turnberry spokesperson said.

One Park Tower marks the first condo project within SoLé Mia, a $4 billion mixed-use development. Turnberry Associates and LeFrak are co-developing the 184-acre property, which is next to Oleta River State Park. It’s one of the largest master-planned communities under construction in South Florida.

“Fortune has done a fantastic job,” Eklund said. “It’s my job to finish it off and sell it out before the building is finished.”

Defortuna said in a statement that Fortune looks forward to working with Soffer and LeFrak in the future. He said the firm secured five sales in August.

The building is designed by Arquitectonica and will include more than 60,000 square feet of amenities, including a beach club, fitness center and spas.

SoLé Miami, named after the Soffer and LeFrak families, will include a 10-acre University of Miami UHealth Medical Center, 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, a Reserve Padel and pickleball club, and more residential towers. Portions of the development are completed, including the massive Crystal Lagoon and rental towers
Eklund-Gomes expanded to South Florida in 2019, and ramped up in the region after Eklund relocated to Miami Beach from Los Angeles last year.
